CHARLES ROBINSON: I want to say that at the very beginning. I am … I am a person who are very professional players who express themselves. I love them, having a life and personality outside of football. I love when they can turn that into soccer. I love it when they make careers after all these different things. For me this is an absolute part of their business and their own society. You do – this is important.
However, there is also an element of knowing where you are, what time of year it is, and an element of knowing yourself. And that – he, you know, JuJu Smith-Schuster, who does that on the logo and then gets clocked during the game – that’s all that comes out when you lose. And it’s a terrible loss.
Now, I’m not going to say that – it’s nowhere near Antonio Brown’s level. But that’s the stuff that drove Mike Tomlin crazy before, right? OK, where … are you in football right now or are we going to do other things? This is 1 / 1,000 of an Antonio Brown level material. But even in Pittsburgh, this is the stuff in Pittsburgh that comes out with – you know, the drama of this team bleeds a little when they start taking such losses.
TEREZ PAYLOR: You know, especially when they lose to a Cincinnati team that hasn’t beaten them 11 times. Cincinnati lost 11 games to Pittsburgh, right? And the Steelers lost three in a row, by the way.
In general, I mean the TikTok thing – that’s just me – not. I think it’s stupid, right? I guess it’s like, you know what theirs are [BLEEP] The problem is? They cannot be protected for more than 2.1 seconds.
The story goes on
I’m just saying this is the kind of thing people talk about. And they give it life. And the players too. As Von Bell said last night that it’s kind of disrespectful. And Von Bell is the guy who set it on fire.
CHARLES ROBINSON: Here’s the thing too, and I want to be clear – about the TikTok stuff. Again, I have no problem with it. Not me. It is – but I think there is an element of self-awareness whenever you gain that social element of your personality or anything else that isn’t just right between the lines [BLEEP] Game, ok?
You have to win the game because if you don’t, Von Bell will have it talked about, right? I am talking about how it feels disrespectful. Then get the media to talk about it.
TEREZ PAYLOR: And it’s only one thing.
CHARLES ROBINSON: It becomes that thing.
TEREZ PAYLOR: And how, it shouldn’t be a thing. I think we agree. That’s how it is [BLEEP] stupid. It shouldn’t be a thing. You know why you lost? Because they can’t [BLEEP] Pass protect the barrel block.
CHARLES ROBINSON: Law.
TEREZ PAYLOR: That’s why. You lost because of these reasons. And they can’t stop Ryan Finley from reading the Zone.
