Climate Pittsburgh: Rain stays within the vacation forecast

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Wet weather will be with us for most of the week.

It’s a grey, overcast and drizzly Sunday and we’re stuck in this muggy, wet, choppy pattern through Tuesday as a slow moving depression and front take their good old time to push through our region. That means occasional showers and a few isolated thunderstorms this evening, tomorrow and into early Tuesday. Cloud cover will help prevent major storms for the most part, but their slow-moving nature and lap after lap in the same areas could bring a potential for isolated flooding issues in certain locations.

Otherwise, take the poncho to the Labor Day parade and plan an indoor cookout, or at least a place to go inside if the showers/storms hit your yard on Monday. We’re finally starting to clear up on Wednesday, with sunshine returning Thursday and temperatures staying comfortable and seasonal in the upper 70’s and low 80’s all week.
