Congressman Conor Lamb says he helps the indictment in opposition to President Donald Trump – CBS Pittsburgh

WASHINGTON (KDKA) – Congressman Conor Lamb now speaks in favor of the indictment against President Donald Trump.

I support the indictment against President Trump.

I am sure people have reasonable, practical questions as to why we should do this when it is difficult to get him out of office sooner than January 20th.

I understand. But here is why I decided it had to be done right away.

Lamb (D-17) admitted that President Trump was barely two weeks in office, but Lamb said his decision was thinking about the future.

“… even if he is not removed, impeachment can result in Trump never holding public office again,” said Lamb. “We owe it to the nation to do absolutely everything to ensure that this man can never again be in command.”

Lamb urges the House of Representatives to deal quickly with impeachment proceedings.

“The House must bring charges immediately so the Senate can act immediately,” he wrote in a series of tweets.

On Friday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sent a memo to Senators on a possible impeachment schedule.
