PITTSBURGH – Two people were injured when gunfire was fired near a grocery store in Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny neighborhood early Friday morning, police said.
Officials patrolling the area heard several gunshots in the Cedar Avenue and Avery Street areas just before 1 a.m.
Police were investigated in the parking lot in front of the giant eagle on Cedar Avenue. A car was towed away.
A man who was shot in the leg was found on the 300 block of Cedar Avenue, police said. Shortly afterwards, a second man was found on the 200 block on East Ohio Street with a gunshot wound to the head.
Both men were taken to hospitals in stable condition, officials said.
