2000 turkeys in full swing | Native information

Thanksgiving Day is about five weeks away, and local grocery stores have turkey, canned pumpkin, fillings, and cranberries on shelves and in freezers.

And the 2000 Turkeys campaign, which aims to provide Thanksgiving dinner to needy Washington County families, is well underway.

Washington County’s individuals, businesses, and organizations do their part to ensure that their neighbors enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.

Thank you to those who opened their hearts and purses to help others celebrate the holiday.

Also, Shepherd’s Finance, a longtime supporter of 2,000 turkeys, announced Thursday that all donations would be doubled to $ 12,500 by November 5th.

2000 Turkeys partners with the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and their 13 Washington County food stores and skyscrapers to provide a turkey and supplies. Their locations are:
