Jones is a 6-foot point guard who held offers from a handful of Division I programs before cutting his list to these three schools. According to the 247 Sports Composite, he is a three-star point guard rated the No. 151 candidate in the nation. Jones recently completed a successful run on the Nike EYBL course, finishing first in steals (3.3 per game) and fourth in assists (5.5 per game).

Jones visited Pitt on the first day colleges were allowed to revisit on June 1 and enjoyed his time on campus.

“The Pitt coaches put together a great tour for me,” Jones told Pittsburgh Sports Now on the way home from his visit. “You really touched everything and I met with everyone at the school today except the academic advisors. I had a great time driving around campus seeing lots of historical things about the University of Pittsburgh like the Cathedral of Learning. They showed me many things that I did not know before I arrived and I felt the visit was very helpful. The facilities were really nice too. Very colorful. “

He also told PSN at the time that he would be returning for an official visit in the future, but that has not happened yet. If he selects Pitt, Jones would join Combo Guard Judah Mintz in Jeff Capel’s 2022 recruitment course.
