PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Several local high schools were named the best in Pennsylvania in 2021.

According to the US News & World Report, six schools in western Pennsylvania made the national top 25.
Hampton High School was the best local school at # 7 in the state, followed by Pittsburgh CAPA at # 8. Schools ranked # 372 and 415 nationally, respectively.

Other local schools in the state’s top 25 were Peters Township, Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair, and Pine-Richland High Schools.
Schools were ranked based on their preparation for college and their performance on state assessments.
