PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Giant Eagle Pharmacy says it will help deliver the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it becomes available.
According to the company’s website, Giant Eagle is working with local, state, and federal health agencies on the sales process.
According to Giant Eagle, the distribution model established by the CDC and health authorities must be followed.
The first recordings will be directed to healthcare workers, first aiders, residents and employees of long-term care facilities as part of phase 1.
In phase 2, those at risk will receive the vaccine, whereas in phase 3 the stage is expected when the vaccine will be readily available.
Giant Eagle said it will provide updates on its involvement in the vaccine distribution effort during its development.
