Sunday Snow Showers – CBS Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The snow showers started last night and will last until morning.
Some areas are seeing a mix and we should dry out later in the afternoon.
Less than an inch expected for many and high temperatures today will be near 40 degrees.

Precipitation ends in the late afternoon and evening.
Monday is the first winter day (winter solstice) at 5:02 a.m. and there is a chance that a few rain and snow showers will occur in the evening that will linger as snow showers until Tuesday.

The ridges and north of I-80 could take up an inch or so.
Pittsburgh sees little to no accumulation.
Wednesdays we see temperatures in our top 40s and even a ray of sunshine or two, but don’t let that fool you.
We’re looking at the coldest temperatures of the season to get there by Christmas!

A white Christmas is also out of the question.
We still see a chance for a mix on Christmas Eve with highs close to 40 degrees and the occasional snow showers on Christmas morning with highs only in their low to mid 20s and lows that fall down to teenagers!
Remember: You need 1 inch of fresh snow on the ground on Christmas morning to officially call it a “White Christmas”.
