Tuesday’s snow showers will end in the late morning and temperatures will remain near normal through the top 30s.
Tuesday night through Wednesday we’re staying dry before our next big system arrives for the holidays.

On Thursday it will rain in the mornings and afternoons in large parts of the region. Then when colder air filters get in, we will switch to snow and falling temperatures.
It will take a little time for soil temperature to keep up with air temperature, but areas on Friday could wake up to an inch or more of snow on the ground at higher elevations (still too early for exact amounts).

That would give us the official “White Christmas” when there is 1 “fresh snow on the ground.
Travel will be difficult!

High temperatures on Friday will be the coldest air we’ve seen this season so far. They’ll only make it to our highs by the mid 20’s and we’re fighting to make it to 30 degrees on Saturday.
