PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest in Pittsburgh’s Hill District.
911 dispatchers were informed of a man who was shot dead on Heldman Street at around 2:30 a.m.
Police officers and paramedics responded to the call and when they got to the scene, along with a male victim, discovered evidence of a shooting on the building’s first floor.

The man suffered from a gunshot wound to the chest but was conscious and vigilant.
He was taken to a local hospital and was last listed in critical condition.
Police say a suspect allegedly fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The Crime Scene Unit processed the crime scene and the police are continuing to investigate.
