A bumpy trip for Pittsburgh’s scooters

After spending the summer in Buffalo, I returned to Pittsburgh in August and drove on Fifth Avenue. When I got stuck behind something city dwellers are probably more than familiar with – electric scooters.

In July, Move PGH deployed 1,000 of these scooters across town. However, not everyone is using the new mode of transport, which has led to hundreds of complaints.

In September the city council passed an ordinance that increases age requirements and enacts rules for horse riding. Find out more about the scooters and the updated rules here.
