AdventHealth Gordon is hosting a virtual Living Well class with Dr. Julia Danforth.
During this course, participants will learn how to read food labels correctly. Sally Lipsky, the director of Plant-Based Pittsburgh, an organization dedicated to promoting the health benefits of plant-based foods, will join Dr. Danforth will lead the virtual class and share guidelines for reading packaged food labels on cereals, snacks and vegetarian burgers and more. Sally is also a plant-based nutritionist and the author of Beyond Cancer: The Powerful Effect of Plant-Based Eating.
Dr. Danforth is a certified family doctor. She believes that health is more than just the physical body, it is also about mental and spiritual well-being. Dr. Danforth graduated from Loma Linda University in California with a medical degree followed by family practice at Florida Hospital in Orlando. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Danforth was certified by the Board of Directors for Lifestyle Medicine in 2017 and is blessed to formally pursue her lifelong professional passion.
