Alex Wooden wins in opposition to Pittsburgh once more on Sunday – Alex Wooden Information

by Jon Mathisen | Giants correspondent | Sun, May 16, 4:35 p.m. EDT

LHP Alex Wood won Sunday by allowing an eight-hit, one-step, six-throw run over six innings as the Giants beat the Pirates 4-1.

Fantasy Impact:

Wood just rolls on and gets his fourth quality start and fifth win of the season. The pirates marked him for eight hits but could only muster one run with a Ka’ai Tom sacrificial fly in the bottom of the fourth inning. The lanky south paw now has an impressive 1.75 ERA, 0.94 whip and 35: 9 K / BB ratio over 36 innings (six starts). He will face a tough test the next time he starts drawing the Dodgers at home.
