According to Irish tradition, if a woman makes a proposal to her husband on February 29, also known as Leap Day, a woman must accept. And frankly, can anyone say no to charming Amy Adams as a brave American who travels to Dublin to do just that on this 2010 rom-com? We didn’t think so!
Another Dublin story! Dating from 2016 and set in 1985, this music-filled romance follows a sensitive teenager (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) who forms a band in an attempt to win over the girl he falls in love with.
Float like a butterfly
Raised in rural Ireland and inspired by Muhammad Ali, a teenage girl (Hazel Doupe) tries to prove herself by stepping into the boxing ring while shattering the expectations – and opposites – of the men who surround her in a feel-good film from 2019 .
