PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A woman and her dog died in an overnight fire in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Shortly after midnight early Saturday morning, firefighters were called to the 4000 block on Cambronne Street.
When they got to the scene, they were able to put out the fire, but discovered a deceased woman on the second floor with her dog, who had also died. Public security officials say firefighters encounter hoarding conditions in the home.

Public security officials say no one else lived in the apartment.
The Pittsburgh Public Safety Fire Investigations Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released at the time.
