PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Animal Friends reminds the public of their efforts to find homes for loving pets.

In a Facebook post shared on Saturday, they told the story of a dog named Zoey.

Zoey first appeared on Animal Friends after he was found a stray.

She was quickly adopted two weeks after arriving at Animal Friends, but due to the stress and anxiety Zoey was experiencing, she ended up back in the care of Animal Friends.

The Animal Friends behavior team went to great lengths to get Zoey fostered so she could relax in a home environment.

A veterinary behaviorist was enlisted to develop a plan for Zoey.

Zoey still spends time in nursing.
