Arsenal Bowl wins patrons and retains the legendary railways going – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Arsenal Bowl, an institution in Lawrenceville from the Great Depression, has found a new owner.

Ross-based Specialty Group announced that it had brokered a deal to sell the bowling alley and bar business to an owner group made up of local individuals, some from the neighborhood. The operation should remain a bowling alley.

Terri Sokoloff, director of the Specialty Group, said the deal was agreed, the liquor license transfer has been booked, a long-term lease is in place for the company, and she expects the license transfer to be completed by the end of the year.

Sokoloff did not announce the buyers.
