BC3 @ Brockway exhibits benefits on the open home | way of life

BROCKWAY – Prospective students can explore BC3 @ Brockway’s nine associate degree programs and learn about the transferability of their credits and their affordability at an open house on October 18.

The BC3 @ Brockway Open House is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 1200 Wood St., Suite D, Brockway. An information session on nursing, RN, will take place at 6:00 p.m. The participants are allowed to bring a guest due to the current health and safety guidelines of BC3.

BC3 temporarily requires all BC3 locations to wear face covers indoors.

BC3 @ Brockway also waives the $ 25 registration fee for prospective students who apply to enroll in the Open House. Prospective students can register at apply.BC3.edu/open-house.

Prospective students attending the Open House can explore career and transfer programs and teaching formats, tour classrooms and the facility, and review participation costs and financial support options.

Niche.com, Pittsburgh, analyzed information from the U.S. Department of Education, the Brookings Institution, and other sources in areas such as academics, values, and professors to rank BC3 first in its report on Best Community Colleges in Pennsylvania in 2022.

BC3 @ Brockway offers associate degrees in six transfer programs and three career programs. BC3 @ Brockway students can apply credits for a bachelor’s degree in public, private, and four-year online colleges and universities.

Approximately 71 percent of BC3 students this fall are enrolled in transfer programs.

BC3 @ Brockway’s selection of two-year transfer programs includes business administration, early childhood education (Pre K-4), general studies, health sciences, psychology and social work. The two-year career programs are business administration; Nursing, RN and Office Administration Executive. Students in BC3 @ Brockway’s career programs can develop the skills necessary to enter the world of work immediately upon graduation.

Students who complete a BC3 @ Brockway degree in Business, Early Childhood Education (Pre K-4), Psychology, and Social Work may transfer all credits to a parallel program and junior status to a public four-year institution in Pennsylvania.

Students who complete a BC3 @ Brockway degree in business, general science, or psychology can transfer all credits to a parallel program at any Penn State University Commonwealth campus.

BC3 @ Brockway is the only BC3 location other than the main Butler County Community College campus offering the nursing career program

The BC3 Education Foundation will award more than $ 200,000 in scholarships in 2021-2022. Scholarships, financial aid, and BC3 affordability enabled 70 percent of the BC3 grade to graduate debt-free by 2021.

About 83 percent of BC3’s credit classes will be face-to-face this fall, about 14 percent are online, and 3 percent are remote.
