PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Much of Louisana is still grappling with the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, and some areas are seeing even more rain and flooding after tropical storm Nicholas hit land along the Gulf Coast.

Because of this, there are still many people who are in dire need of help.

This is where the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank helps.

They plan to send nearly 25,000 pounds of food and water to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

The board is working with other groups such as Feeding America and the Brothers’ Brother Foundation to make this possible.

Meals are prepared on Friday, which is also the hunger campaign day.
