It is for Phase 1A patients in Pennsylvania. People who don’t have an appointment don’t get a chance.
According to Giant Eagle, most appointments will be available through the online planning tool from Friday.
For people without internet access, a limited number of appointments can be booked from Monday lunchtime by calling 1-877-288-2070. However, according to Giant Eagle, this is not recommended as high call volumes and limited availability can result in long waiting times.

Individuals given a slot should arrive 15 minutes early, wear a mask, present valid ID, and bring their health insurance information. Parking spaces are available in Gold Lot 1.
The Allegheny County Health Department also issues the Pfizer vaccine and has a link to sign up for a clinic in Castle Shannon. Online registration begins at 9:00 a.m. through Allegheny Alerts and will be posted on ACHD’s vaccines page shortly afterwards.
Patients can also call 2-1-1 for an initial dose. All appointments are scheduled for the Castle Shannon VFD Banquet Hall on Library Road. The county says any person who arrives at the site without an appointment or is not 65 and older will be turned away.
Second doses for the Moderna vaccine are also planned. These will take place at the county’s Monroeville Clinic.
