Crazy Good Events owner Ariel Mookherji recently received the Women’s Business Network’s inaugural Rising Star Award.
The Rising Star Award, presented at the organization’s annual business meeting in May, is new in 2021. The award is designed to highlight members under 40 who regularly attend events, proactively participate in WBN leadership opportunities, and promote WBN membership .
Since joining the South Hills Chapter nearly two years ago, Mookherji has quickly become a fixture on a variety of WBN committees, including the strategic planning and education committees. She is often found at WBN-wide events and recently became co-chair of the Special Events Committee.
Mookherji grew up in the Philadelphia area and currently lives in Bethel Park. She graduated from Moore College of Art and Design with a degree in interior design, studied marketing from Montgomery County Community College, and has experience planning events of all sizes, from large conferences to family reunions and birthday parties.
Food Drive on the Montour Trail
The Montour Trail Council works with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Greater Washington County Food Bank to collect non-perishable food and household items.
Donations will be collected on June 19, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Washington Elementary School on the Bethel Branch of the Montour Trail (Mile 1, Bethel Branch). The rain date is June 20th.
Coveted non-perishable donations include toilet paper, paper towels, and household and hygiene items. Donations of money are not accepted and no glass containers, please.
“Contributing to the Food Banks is something we can all do to make a difference,” said Patricia Friedsam, Chair of the Membership and Public Relations Committee for the Montour Trail Council. “Every donation, no matter how small it may seem to us, can make a big difference in the lives of those affected. Please come out to support your neighbors. “

Holiday Bible School
VBS comes to the South Hills Church of the Nazarene, 5601 Library Road in Bethel Park. This year’s vacation Bible school is Rocky Railway. The program runs on five consecutive Wednesdays, June 30th – July 28th, from 6.30pm to 8pm. Children who have just finished kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome. Returns on the farmers market
The Bethel Park Farmers Market is open every Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm in South Park right on Corrigan Drive near the ice rink until September 28th.

Yard sale
The South Hills Church of the Nazarene Youth Group, 5601 Library Road, is holding a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 26th. Rent a table for $ 20. All profit belongs to you; The seller seat is $ 30.
