PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Good morning, call us “Pitts-burrrrr” this morning. We’re probably seeing the coldest temperatures we’ve seen so far this season.
So far we’ve hit 8 degrees for morning lows a couple of times.

I’m assuming our morning temperature drops to either 7 or 6 degrees this morning. This could be the coldest start to the day since March 5th, 2019 when we dropped to 6 degrees.

While I can’t completely rule out an isolated snow shower here or there, today should be really dry with partly cloudy skies.
The highs hit the mid-20s with teenage temperatures around noon. The winds will be light and come from the northeast so there won’t be much cold in the air.
Our next winter storm arrives on Thursday morning. The latest data suggests that most of our area sees between two and four inches of snow.

For now, expect most of western Pennsylvania to fall under a winter weather recommendation for Thursday.
At the time of this writing I would like to emphasize that no opinion has yet been issued.
The best chance of accumulating snow is on Thursday evening.
When I collapsed on Thursday, I could see smaller clusters of perhaps an inch in the morning hours. Another two to three inches falling from late afternoon through night hours should also be expected.
The timing at this point shows little or no impact on the roads in both morning and evening.
