Circus Saints & Sinners To Host ‘Social gathering On The Plaza’ In Downtown Wheeling | Information, Sports activities, Jobs
WHEELING — The Circus Saints and Sinners are turning up the temperature for summer celebrations, while helping WVU Medicine in the process. The group will host the first “Party on the Plaza” music and food festival from 4-10 p.m. July 10 at the Plaza on Market in downtown Wheeling.
Organizers plan a full day of live music, a selection of local food vendors, and adult beverages, event chairman Paul Smith said. Proceeds will benefit the construction of the brand-new 150-bed WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital in Morgantown.
“We will have continuous live music, including Pittsburgh’s top party band, Jukebox, great local food trucks, and plenty of ice-cold drinks,” Smith said. “And we’re doing it for the women and children of our region, and throughout West Virginia, by supporting the vital mission of WVU Medicine Children’s.”
Smith said the event has garnered a tremendous amount of support from the public and the local business community.
“The response has been overwhelming,” said Smith. “I think people are definitely ready to live free again and enjoy a summer festival with their friends and family. Tickets are selling fast and the sheer number of businesses and organizations that have partnered with us as sponsors has been incredible.”
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at the gate and at PartyOnThePlaza.org. The first 300 online buyers get a free commemorative mug.
