Citadel Switch Kaiden Rice locations Duquesne within the high 8

Keith Dambrot and Duquesne are still working hard on the transfer portal after a few commits, and the hard work is paying off.

On March 31, 6-foot-7 forward Kaiden Rice, a graduate transfer from The Citadel, announced his final 8 schools, a list that included the dukes.

In addition to Duquesne, UAB, Loyola-Chicago, Butler, USF, William and Mary, Arizona and South Alabama are on the list.

As a four-year-old player at The Citadel, Rice ranks third all-time in the school with 274 points. That season he played an average of 33.8 minutes, scored 17.6 points per game, and scored 4.2 rebounds per game. He led the team by far by 3 pointers and lost 92 of his 264 attempts at team height that year (35%).

His best game of the season was against VMI when he left the field nine to 15, including seven to ten in three-point attempts on the way to a 29-point performance.

Rice is from Columbia, South Carolina. He only had two offers from high school, Army and The Citadel. Now he’s narrowed his list to eight and will make his decision in the near future.
