Between 2018 and May 2019, Thomas and Sara Mouton reportedly distributed steroids and other drugs that they claimed to counteract the side effects of steroid abuse.
The couple sold the drugs through both the internet and their personal relationships.
Neither of these drugs were FDA approved, nor were the couple allowed to sell the drugs without FDA approval.

Coupled with the lack of FDA approval, the labels did not contain adequate instructions for use and did not contain exact drug and active ingredient names.
The court was told that the couple acted willfully to defraud the FDA.
“Thomas and Sara Mouton began distributing steroids to their fitness and bodybuilding workers, but their business eventually expanded to a few hundred customers through word of mouth,” said Acting US Attorney Kaufman. “People who defraud the FDA will be held accountable for their crimes.”
