PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – COVID-19 vaccination rates are slowing across the country.
Nationwide, more than 11 million people have received at least one injection.
While just over 5 million Pennsylvanians are fully vaccinated, that’s only 44.1% – far from the 70% required for the statewide mask mandate to be lifted earlier than planned.
If you look at the effort, Allegheny County is the only county in southwestern Pennsylvania where at least 70% of residents have had at least one injection.
Washington County is the closest at just over 63%, and none of the other counties top 60%.
