CVS Opens Workforce Innovation and Expertise Middle in Hill District – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A new center in the Hill District aims to help people find work.

On Wednesday, they gave tours of the Center for Workforce and Innovation, which opened at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Wylie Avenue.

The partnership between CVS and the community provides training for people in need of jobs, as well as the services to help them succeed in those positions once they are found.

“When people have access to job opportunities, they can better focus on their health,” said David Casey, SVP and chief diversity officer, CVS Health. “By working with Ebenezer Baptist Church, we want to take a more personal approach to breaking down employment barriers and giving each participant the tools they need to be successful in the workplace – and especially in life.”

There is also a health clinic, pantry, daycare, and after-school programs for the students.
