Pittsburgh (KDKA) – Most of the COVID-19 restrictions in Pennsylvania were lifted on Monday at 12:01 am.
The Wolf administration said businesses, events and venues could be fully operational. There are no protocols for keeping social distance, and there are no restrictions on gathering at indoor and outdoor events. Mask obligations for unvaccinated individuals continue to apply.

On Sunday, the restaurant was able to count down the minutes until the clock reached 12:01 am to welcome more customers.
“It’s definitely exciting. I think everyone wants to go out,” said Taylor Myers, manager of a local bar and kitchen on the South Side.
Vincent Ferro, Sales Manager of Foxtail and AMPD Group, said:
Businesses, events and venues can return to 100% capacity. Pennsylvanians can expect more people in gyms, salons, theaters, stores, restaurants, weddings and stadiums.
Myers hopes that the lifting of the mitigation order will reduce worries and attract more customers. With no social distance rules, restaurants will no longer have tables at intervals.

“It certainly helps the atmosphere. It’s a bar. Everyone wants to go out and meet new people, interact and walk around. Then people go out more. I just hope you enjoy it. “
Vincent Ferro helps attract customers to some of the AMPD Group’s local restaurants. He is ready for a place that looks like before a pandemic.
“Everything was in recession for a long time and everyone was depressed. I was happy to see things start to resume and I am very happy to see everyone change their mood. Everyone is free again. I’m very excited to be, “said Ferro.
However, the mask will still be displayed. The Pennsylvania Department of Health said unvaccinated people must wear masks by June 28, or until 70% of Pennsylvania are fully vaccinated.
“We just want everyone to have a good time and feel safe. Whatever the order, we follow the best protocol possible. It recovers here and everyone is out. I hope you can go out and have fun, “said Myers.
