PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Former steeler Ryan Switzer shared some “wonderful news” almost a month after his son had surgery in Boston.

In a tweet on Thursday, the Swiss woman said that Christian’s three-week post-operative blood tests showed very inspiring results.

“His counts are phenomenal! Hemoglobin is perfect, as are many other markers that were low while dealing with his blood loss. Praise, praise God. It’s a huge relief, ”Ryan tweeted.

“As Gabie and I continue to deal with the trauma and certain images of our son that we can never seem to shake during this tell-tale time, it is such a huge step in our healing as parents to know that our baby is improving & on his.” was to a beautiful healthy life, ”added Ryan.

The Switzers drove to Boston in March after Christian started bleeding and doctors couldn’t find a diagnosis.

It all started when Ryan said his 9-month-old son, who tested positive for COVID-19, was in the hospital and woke up in his own blood.

Christian was released from the hospital but then went back after Ryan said his son was “bleeding heavily”.

Ryan said doctors had decided Boston was the place to go to find the cause of his son’s bleeding.

Christian had an operation and “the wonderful people of Boston fixed our son,” Ryan said on Twitter last month. Christian is expected to make a full recovery.

Our sweet baby is stable and has not had an operation. That nightmare is over. These wonderful people in Boston fixed our son. He will fully recover. Praise God. pic.twitter.com/2utFW578QD
