PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A SWAT situation that developed overnight in Pittsburgh’s Perry North situation ended without incident.

Pittsburgh public safety officers said Pittsburgh police officers responded to a house along Perrysville Avenue in the Perry North neighborhood around 12:15 p.m. for reports of a man in crisis.
The man began barricading himself in the apartment and SWAT officers reacted to the scene based on threats made by the man.

Perrysville Avenue was closed between Riverview Avenue and Richey Avenue.

Just before 2 a.m., the negotiators were able to encourage the man to surrender without incident.
