In response to new research outcomes, Pittsburgh is the very best place to maneuver to after faculty – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh has many neighborhoods that are well suited for young professionals, and a new study has further confirmed this by ranking the city as the best place to move after college compared to all other major metropolitan areas across the country .

This is based on research by Porch, a household services company, which examined prepandemic data from the US Census Bureau, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

To rank each city, the company created a composite rating based on a particular city’s average income for its youngest graduates and the unemployment rate for those youngest graduates. Porch also examined the number of businesses with at least 1 employee per 1,000 residents, the concentration of recent graduates versus the national average, the median monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment, and the cost of living versus the national average as part of its composite score.
