Individuals Detained on the Allegheny Co. Resort following the kidnapping report – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police said several people were detained at a hotel on Banksville Road following a report of a kidnapping.

Officials will be on site at the Days Inn hotel on Wednesday. At one point there were several police units including SWAT in the parking lot.

According to law enforcement officials, a kidnapping call came in around 2:55 p.m. on Bausman Street, about 10 minutes from the hotel. Not too long after that, police said they found a vehicle that matched the description at the Days Inn.

“The call was for an adult woman who was abducted by two adult actors,” said Chris Togneri, Pittsburgh police spokesman.

Police said several suspects had rented multiple rooms at the Days Inn and Comfort Inn and Suites hotels on Banksville Road.

“The investigators found that several people rented several rooms from two neighboring hotels. Some of these rooms have had some activity including illegal activity, drug use and possibly other things, ”Togneri said.

Police say no one has been injured and everyone involved will be held accountable.

UPDATE: The scene is safe. Several people were taken into custody following a report of a kidnapping. Nobody is hurt and everyone involved is held accountable. A full report will be published shortly in the Public Safety Blotter.
