July means meals truck competition time in Pittsburgh
The 5th Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival is taking place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The annual event was canceled last year due to the pandemic. It will take place July 16-18 at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino, which is co-sponsoring the event according to an Observer Reporter report. The media company is also a sponsor of the festival.
“We’re very excited to be doing this again,” said Carole DeAngelo, OP’s advertising director, on the news story. “Everyone in the community asked if we were going to host the Food Truck Festival. The community is ready for it.”
The event, which will be attended by nearly three dozen trucks and 30 vendors, traditionally took place on Memorial Day weekend but has been postponed to July to allow for stronger vaccination in the area.
The opening times are on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event will also include family-oriented activities.
