“It has been very difficult to occupy our full restaurant since we came back. We have limited hours. We are open seven days a week, ”explained owner Len Semplice.
US employers posted a record number of available jobs in March, according to a report by the US Department of Labor. However, the number of new hires rose only slightly.
“A lot of people in the industry did other jobs. And the main thing, I think, is free money. The extra $ 300 a week in unemployment I think has a lot to do with that, ”Semplice said. “We need the people. We have the hours. I got the money. I just need the people who want to work. “
