A popular restaurant in Pittsburgh’s Strip District was raided Friday evening for a second time. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 was there as Liquor Control Enforcement agents carried out boxes of alcohol. In December 2020, hundreds of bottles of liquor were sized after “numerous complaints” that the business on Penn Avenue was operating without a valid liquor license. The Allegheny County Health Department closed Savoy at least twice last year for COVID-19 violations. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 is working to learn more about what led to Friday night’s raid.
