Man on homicide expenses after deadly McKeesport home invasion – CBS Pittsburgh

MCKEESPORT (KDKA) – A 30-year-old Monroeville man faces murder charges after a man who was injured in a home invasion in McKeesport dies.
David Gutierrez-Faust, 69, was pronounced dead on Saturday at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was taken there in critical condition following the alleged attack at McKeesport’s home.
According to KDKA’s news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 30-year-old Devin Hale is charged with murder in connection with the now fatal home invasion that took place on Grover Street in McKeesport on Tuesday.
A witness told police that they heard a knock on the back door of the house on Tuesday, January 19, and when they opened the door a gun was pointed in their faces.
A witness also told police that Hale hit Gutierrez-Faust several times in the head and face and strangled him.
The witness told police that a second suspect took money and cracked cocaine from Gutierrez-Faust’s pocket after he was strangled by Hale.
A second suspect has not been identified.
Hale is charged with criminal murder, aggravated assault, burglary, robbery, intimidation of a witness, conspiracy, terrorist threats and two cases of strangulation.
