PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Police are investigating a daylight shootout in downtown Pittsburgh.
Investigators said they were called just before 1 p.m. to get reports of a person who was shot and killed on Fort Duquesne Boulevard between 6th and 7th streets. There, the officers found a man with a gunshot wound in the chest in an alley. They performed life-saving first aid measures until paramedics could arrive.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
A short time later, officials stopped a vehicle on the South Side. Two people from this vehicle were taken to police headquarters for questioning in connection with the shooting.
