Martorano’s Prime offers fine Italian-American cuisine, premium cuts of beef and other high-quality steakhouse staples. Among the many culinary awards, gourmet magazine Martoranos named meatballs as the best in the world. Martorano’s restaurants in other countries have become equally known for attracting celebrity customers, and Steve himself is a favorite on the morning news and on late-night TV shows.

Pennsylvania is a well-known area for this renowned chef who greets everyone with “Yo Cuz!” and still works in his own kitchen. “I was born and raised in South Philly,” said Steve Martorano. “I learned to cook on my grandmother’s elbow and much of our menu is based on these family recipes. We’re thrilled to be opening our first Italian-American Steakhouse at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. “

Guests at Martorano’s Prime at Rivers Casino can expect Martorano’s Famous Meatballs, hand-made fresh mozzarella and a delicious eggplant stack among the antipasti dishes on the menu. Linguine & Mussels – Steve’s personal favorite, a dish he made on Jimmy Kimmel Live! – is at the top of the menu with pasta dishes, bucatini carbonara and spaghetti & meatballs. Top-notch veal chops, 16-ounce New York Strip Martorano, and Lobster Francaise are likely the top draws for traditional steakhouse fans. All dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and on site. A full menu is available at RiversCasino.com.

Martorano’s Prime opening brings 50 new food and drink jobs to Rivers Casino Pittsburgh after a difficult year of local and national restaurant closings.

Steve Martorano’s restaurant portfolio includes locations in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida – where the flagship Cafe Martorano recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Martorano has published two cookbooks: “Yo Cuz! My life, my food, my way ”and“ It’s not a sauce, it’s a sauce. “

In addition to a celebrated menu, the guest experience at Martorano’s is known for changing over the course of the evening from business lunches after work and special occasions to dinner in the evening and late in the evening. Themed films and music are played on screens and speakers throughout the restaurant.

“Martorano’s is one of those places where you talk about the amazing Italian dining and dining experience days and weeks later,” said Bill Keena, general manager of Rivers Casino. “The introduction of world-class steaks and the view of the Pittsburgh skyline … that’s what makes this unique to Rivers.”

Martorano’s Prime is located on the riverside of the casino and offers panoramic views of the Ohio River, Mt. Washington, and the Point. The stylish interior of highly polished steel and marble combined with luxurious light-colored leather and wood to create a contemporary contrast between industrial and chic. A lavish, circular central bar with elegant wines sets the tone for a first class dining experience. The main entrance of the Martorano is only accessible from the gaming floor. All guests must be at least 21 years old.

Due to COVID-19, restaurants in Allegheny County are currently serving indoor dining at 50% capacity. The 5,400 square meter restaurant is designed for 159 guests, but will initially only serve 60 guests. The tables at Martorano’s Prime are set up for social distancing and are set with a limited number of seats.

Air filtration runs around the clock, surfaces are frequently disinfected and public areas are thoroughly cleaned every day. Restaurant staff and guests are required to wear masks – except when eating or drinking – and temperatures are checked upon arrival at the casino. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available throughout the property.
