Mellon Square Park will reopen with its Summer at the Square kickoff event
The park will continue to host monthly happy hours and food specials.

On June 30, Mellon Square Park reopened after an extended shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The launch event, Summer at the Square, featured a variety of games and activities, food from Talia, and live music. Part of the square has been converted into a sidewalk cafe in collaboration with downtown Pittsburgh restaurants and the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. The park will also host monthly happy hours and food specials to help local downtown restaurants recover from the pandemic and look forward to more Summer in the Square events at Mellon Park now through September.

On June 30, Mellon Square Park reopened after an extended shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The launch event, Summer at the Square, featured a variety of games and activities, food from Talia, and live music. Part of the square has been converted into a sidewalk cafe in collaboration with downtown Pittsburgh restaurants and the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.
