PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh launches an assault on abandoned vehicles across the city.

Residents are being asked to report abandoned vehicles to 311, and the city says police and traffic officials will be working to resolve as many complaints as possible.

Police kick off Allentown and Beltzhoover on Tuesday and will be working on towing abandoned vehicles around the rest of town over the coming weeks.
“Abandoned vehicles are a nuisance to neighborhoods and we dedicate special resources to addressing them. I urge residents to help the police by letting us know about such vehicles in their neighborhood, ”Mayor Bill Peduto said in a press release.
