Pittsburgh (AP) – The New York Mets placed star shortstop Francisco Lindeau diagonally to the right on the 10-day injured list on Saturday.

Lindo was injured in a 4-1 loss at Pittsburgh on Friday night and winked after returning to second base in the fifth inning. The four All-Stars took a few steps out of the batter’s box, but fell towards the Mets shelter on first base.

Mets won the Lindo roster by recalling Triple A Syracuse infielder Travis Blankenhorn.

In his first season in New York, after being acquired with Cleveland in January, Lindeau reached .228 with 11 and 8 home runs in 88 games. He agreed to a 10-year contract for $ 341 million shortly before the opening date.

NL East leader Mets suffered from a long list of injuries and won back third baseman JD Davis from the 60-day IL on Friday. His return meant that each of New York’s planned regulars would be available for the first time in several months.

Blankenhorn reached .270 with four home runs in 13 Syracuse games. He played 11 Mets games earlier this season, and played one of 11 games.

Mets is Blankenhorn’s fourth organization this season. He also spent time with farm systems in Minnesota, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Seattle.
