MONESSEN (KDKA) – The 3rd annual Monessen Christmas Lights Contest has started. This year’s competition is called “Shine Bright and Sparkle”.
Participants who want to take part can compete in the following categories:
- The choice of the people
- Most traditional
- Most festive
- Unique.
Participation in the event is free.
If you live in Monessen and want to participate, you can do so by sending a private Facebook message to Lindsay Jo, the Mayor of Monessen, Matt Shorraw or Karla Spangler and providing your name, address and telephone number for participation.
The closing date for entries is December 20, 2020.
The evaluation will take place on December 21, 22 and 23.
The public is invited to vote for the People’s Choice winner on December 24th.
The winners of each category will be announced on Christmas Eve and the People’s Choice winner will be announced on Christmas Day.
