MW- Good morning Natalie!

NM- Hey matt how are you

MW- I’m fine thank you! Congratulations on your new job, very exciting. How does it feel to be part of The Talk?

NM- Oh it’s amazing. When I was at Access, I was a guest from time to time and always told myself that I would like to join this panel. I really can’t believe it is happening and I’m so excited because I feel like this new energy is on the show.

There is this great combination of incredible talent. I think it’s great that we have the male perspective with Jerry and Akbar. I think that was what was missing during the day, that masculine energy. Cheryl, of course, she’s the glue that binds, I love her. Amanda is an inspiration to all of us, I mean, I’m just amazed at how much she does, it’s amazing, she’s non-stop. It’s the right mix, the right combination, the time was right and I couldn’t be happier to be part of this team.

MW- You mentioned that you’ve been on the show as a guest before and are now sitting in the co-host’s chair. What made you want to be part of The Talk?

NM- My co-hosts and I also love that it does smart TV, it’s smart daytime TV. The Talk has real conversations that many of us have. When we hear so many different points of view, we all come from such different backgrounds and bring different experiences. The secret is in the sauce and I think the sauce is just perfect, we don’t want to mess with the sauce.

MW- Just a pinch of extra ingredients.

NM- A little more Latin American flavor!

MW- [Laughs] You’ve met all of these people before, but now it’s different from joining as a permanent co-host. How did chemistry build up with everyone?

NM- I was able to do a meet and greet with everyone. I’ve only known Cheryl over the years because she’s been in the market here and been to The Talk a couple of times. I knew Jerry from the time he came to Access with us and he was always one of our favorite guests.

Akbar and I go way back and we covered the Olympics together. Amanda was the only one I really needed to get to know and she is exactly what you see. She is amazing, so warm and welcoming. All of them have been great so I look forward to getting to know them even better in the years to come.

MW- The first day is on Monday, what are you most looking forward to? Any first day of school annoying?

NM- I am definitely nervous on the first day. I’m looking forward to all of this though, there’s a huge, spectacular reveal about how I’m welcomed on set. It’ll be great fun to see how that comes together.

We have great guests, not just this day and this week, but all of October. We also have a huge Halloween show ahead of us, so I think that’s where you’ll really connect with your cast mates when you go Halloween together.

MW- So you joined at the perfect time!

NM- I have a feeling it’s Oktoberfest.

MW- [Laughs] Can’t beat that. Thank you for the time, Natalie, it was great to see you and all the best with the show!

NM- Thanks, Matt. Take care of yourself!
