PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Not everyone can afford a big feast, especially laid-off restaurant workers.
Well, the owner of The Warren and Miracle on Sixth Downtown is on the rise.
For the past week the restaurant has been offering free dinners to everyone in the service industry.
Today Spencer Warren employees prepared 300 meals for local workers in need.
Warren stands ready to continue doing this – even after the restaurants reopen to indoor use.
“Even if they are allowed to open, there will be very, very few staff. So people will still need meals. And it’s a way to supplement your income. So if they can get a free dinner every night, they can afford their phone bills or other bills or all those other things the government doesn’t help anyone in the restaurant business with, ”Warren said.
If you work in the service industry, you can follow The Warren on social media for information about their free meals.
