PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Edward Grassel is known by many names, Papa, Pap, Uncle Eddie, Cousin Eddie, Big Ed, you name it, he’s a man of many names.

The WWII and Korean War veteran is approaching a milestone birthday and will not be able to throw a big party to celebrate his 90th birthday due to the pandemic.

That’s why Big Ed and his family are looking for a unique way to celebrate: They ask for 90 birthday cards to celebrate every year.

His daughter called on social media and provided her mailing address so the Pittsburgh community can help Big Ed celebrate his 90th birthday on Wednesday March 24th.
