Neil Walker will be back with the Pirates next month, only this time he will join the team as a broadcaster.

During his appearance on Saturday’s Pirates show against the Brewers, the team announced that he would be joining AT&T SportsNet for select games on August 13, as well as doing some radio work.

BREAK! Neil Walker will support us as an analyst on selected games. It will be broadcast for the first time on August 13th. He’ll do some radio work too! -DP

Walker, a native of Gibsonia, played the infield for the Pirates between 2009 and 2015. In those 7 seasons, Walker has accumulated 93 home runs, averaging .272.
