Notre Dame Soccer 2021 NFL Draft Class and the Pittsburgh Steelers

While March Madness is raging for many, it’s still PRIME NFL draft season in the sports world. Starting April 29 and through May 1 in Cleveland, Ohio, the 32 NFL teams will select college players from across the country and from all levels of the NCAA. This, of course, means fans of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be dialed in to see which of their favorite players end up on their favorite NFL teams.

Maybe one of those teams is the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Irish have sent a number of good players to Steel City over the years, and most recently Chase Claypool did very well in his rookie year.

I sat down with Michael Beck, Bryan Anthony Davis, and Geoffrey Benedict of SB Nation’s Steelers website, Behind the Steel Curtain, to talk about a handful of Irish players they are curious about in this draft. Some of these players are: OT Liam Eichenberg, TE Tommy Tremble, QB Ian Book, OL Robert Hainsey, LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and others.

Unfortunately, I forgot to mention Ben Skowronek’s dominance at Heinz Field and I feel terrible about it.

One small note … while this is a podcast that can be found in the usual places, it is also streamed live on YouTube and Facebook. Funny enough – I didn’t know it was going to be a video until just before it was recorded – so I look like an angel straight from heaven in my laundry room / office.
