Pedal With Police Kick-Off Occasion Brings Regulation Enforcement And Native Communities Collectively – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Officers from several police stations in the Allegheny district jumped on their bikes for a good cause on Saturday.

The opening event, Pedal With Police, focused on giving people the chance to meet those who serve and protect in various settings as they rode from Millvale to the North Shore and back.

“I think it’s important that community members and the police have a positive interaction and have a community event,” said Officer Joe Risher of the Allegheny County Police Department.

Organizers say they hope to make the ride an annual event that travels through the county.
