Penguins signal John Marino once more for six-year contract extension – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The penguins defender John Marino has been signed again for a six-year contract extension with the penguins, the organization said on Sunday.
“We are very fortunate to have a young and experienced defender like John in our organization,” said Rutherford. “His rookie season has shown that he is a top four defender with a great sense of hockey. We were impressed with his strong defensive play and look forward to seeing him develop offensively. ”
The penguins say the contract has an average annual value of $ 4.4 million.
